DHL decides to use enwis) in Great Britain

Dortmund, December 3rd, 2007. The British branch of DHL Exel Supply Change will manage the division “disposal logistics” with support of the vertical software enwis) based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV in the future. The software solution for waste management developed by tegos GmbH Dortmund is merchandized in Great Britain by the system retailer Cedilla. The deciding factor for DHL was the great accordance between the functions of enwis) and the requirements of the disposal logistics company. Contributing was also the sound vertical knowledge of Cedilla, which assures that the DHL business processes are quickly understood and implemented.

DHL Exel Supply Chain offers the complete range of waste disposal services for industrial- and trade customers. During the first implementation phase enwis) is used to support the operative business and for the quantitative reporting according to the guidelines of the British Environmental Authority. On one side enwis) optimizes the collection process of the different task sites to the recycling plants, on the other side it displays the substance flow differentiated by origin of waste, type, tonnage and recycling rate for the authorities.

Because of the integration of the complete software solution from order processing, transport dispatching and substance flow up to invoicing and general ledger, the complete process can be mapped with minimum effort. In the next implementation stage it is planned to configure an internet platform with use of enwis), in which customers of DHL can directly enter their order in the system online. Also the reporting for the British Environmental Authority should then be done digitally based on XML.
